Grandparents-Grandchild Safari to East Africa and Zanzibar
                                           July 19 - 30, 2017

An African Safari is an unforgettable experience. To share it with a loved-one makes it even better.  To share it with a grandchild makes it such a unique experience there can be no comparison.  We took our children to East Africa when they were 11 and 13. It was such a powerful experience that we all still talk about it 30 years later. Now it's time for our older grandson to have his turn, so we're offering this trip to anyone else with the desire to share this singular experience with their own grandchild, and with other like-minded people.

We will visit four of the finest game parks in Africa: Tarangire, Lake Manyara,Ngorongoro, and Serengeti. Each of these names is magical, each is unique in habitat and wildlife viewing, and each will offer its own brand of lifetime memories. We'll be accompanied by professional driver/guides who drive safari-modified Toyota Land Cruisers, complete with open roof for easy game-viewing, as well as all the safety gear necessary for complete confidence, including full-time radio contact with their base in Arusha. These guides spend their lives taking safari-goers into the bush, and they know just about everything there is to know about it. And they love sharing their knowledge. Africans are famous for their love of children, so each of our grandchildren will form a strong and lasting relationship with these wonderful men, while learning lessons unavailable anywhere else.  We will also take time to visit villages, schools and homes along the way so we can meet the local people and learn more about the African way of life.

Following our 9 days in the bush, we'll fly off to the exotic island of Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean, for three days of idyllic beach life. We'll also have the opportunity here to visit schools and homes of the locals, whose Swahili culture is totally different from that out on the mainland.

All in all this will be a one-of-a-kind adventure for the generations, one that will live on for lifetimes.
